The Flamenca Negra
A flamenco model based on the plans of the traditional 1933 guitar by Santos Hernandez. A classic of luthiery, designed by a renowned master. Smooth to play, percussive, and responsive, it excels in both flamenco and classical music.
The woods used for this model stay true to those chosen by Santos Hernandez. The top is made of European spruce: Picea abies. The back, sides, fingerboard, and bridge are made of Indian rosewood: Dalbergia latifolia. The neck is crafted from Honduran cedar: Cedrela odorata. The bindings, headstock veneers, back inlays, and other decorative elements include carefully selected woods such as ebony: Diospyros crassiflora, and maple: Acer pseudoplatanus.
The tuners are roller tuners with a 1:14 ratio by Der Jung. The nuts are made of bone. The guitar is strung with high-tension strings from Knobloch. The finish is hand-applied French polish, respecting traditional techniques.
2000 euros.
The guitar is available to see and try at Alexandre Lambert's workshop in Dijon.
