The Classical
A guitar dedicated to the classical repertoire, this instrument follows a traditional approach, emphasizing tonal balance, clarity across the registers and harmonic richness, while offering a precise and nuanced response.
The woods used for this model were selected for their aesthetic and acoustic qualities. The soundboard is made of European spruce: Picea abies, known for its fine grain, dynamic response and its ability to offer a wide range of nuances. The back and sides are made of Indian rosewood: Dalbergia latifolia, appreciated for the depth of its color, the richness of its figuring and the visual elegance it brings to the instrument. The neck is made of cedro: Cedrela odorata, providing stability and playing comfort. The fingerboard is made of ebony: Diospyros crassiflora, ensuring precision and durability. The bridge is made of Makassar ebony: Diospyros celebica, in a 12-hole configuration, promoting efficient vibration transfer.
I chose a French polish shellac finish applied by hand, allowing for a thin and acoustically light surface, while enhancing the woods and their visual depth.
The guitar is built with bracing inspired by Romanillos models. The action is set to a classical standard, offering a balance between playing comfort and tonal development.
The scale length is 650 mm, with a nut width of 52 mm.
The guitar is delivered in a Gator hard case.
