The Flamenca Blanca

An emblematic instrument of the flamenco repertoire, this flamenca blanca is presented in a modern approach, combining responsiveness, projection and a warm tonal character, while preserving the sharp attack and percussive qualities inherent to this type of guitar.

The woods used for this model were selected for their acoustic qualities and their suitability for the aesthetics and requirements of the flamenco guitar. The soundboard is made of Honduran cedar: Cedrela odorata, providing warmth, roundness and a quick response. The back and sides are made of Mediterranean cypress: Cupressus sempervirens, a traditional wood for the flamenca blanca, known for its clarity, projection and tonal richness. The neck is made of cedro: Cedrela odorata, valued for its stability and light weight. The fingerboard is made of Pau Ferro: Machaerium scleroxylon, offering excellent note definition, a precise attack and a pleasant playing feel, while remaining well balanced tonally. The bridge is made of amara ebony: Diospyros celebica, chosen for its density and rigidity, ensuring efficient vibration transfer and good tuning stability, in a flamenco-style 12-hole configuration.

I chose a matte oil finish, providing a very supple and pleasant feel, while protecting the instrument and preserving the natural appearance of the woods.

The guitar is built with a traditional flamenco fan bracing with 5 struts. The action is set low, in true flamenco style, to favor speed of play and percussive techniques. A transparent golpeador is fitted to protect the soundboard.

The scale length is 650 mm, with a nut width of 50 mm.

The guitar is delivered in a Gator hard case.

2500 euros.
